Green Sponsoring at the East End Film Festival 2016

This year’s East End Film Festival goodie bags are sponsored by green companies and LE PURE did not miss the opportunity to be part of London’s biggest alternative film festival. This festival is a completely not-for-profit CIC (Community Interest Company) and is committed to the work of first and second time directors.

The East End Film Festival was founded in 2000 and is one of the UK’s largest film festivals. It has a very diverse and rich programme and furthermore enables independent filmmakers to show their pioneer work. The EEFF’s mission is to offer a platform for filmmakers living and working in East London, where they can show their first projects. In the heart of London’s most dynamic quarter visitors get introduced to a totally innovative cinematic experience. The East End Film Festival attracts more than 30,000 visitors each year and has established itself as a major international film festival.

Previous guests of the EEFF include Hugh Grant, Clive Owen, Ken Russell, Danny Boyle, Ron Perlman, Richard E. Grant, Julian Temple, Shekar Kapor, Ben Wheatley and Mike Figgis; as well as composers Michael Nyman (The Piano, The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and Her Lover) and Nitin Sawhney; producers Stephen Woolley (The Crying Game) and Andrew Macdonald (Trainspotting); and writers Tony Grisoni (Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas) and Ayub Khan Din (East is East). The festival has also welcomed musicians such as The Libertines, Annie Lennox, The Levellers, Karl Hyde (Underworld) and The National; and artists ranging from Gilbert & George to Tracey Emin and Gillian Wearing.

This year’s East End Film Festival takes place 23rd of June until 3rd of July 2016. Don’t miss it!

Marie Carrasquedo explains how LE PURE is redefining organic skincare

Marie Carrasquedo is the creator of LE PURE’s formulas. She has spent the past 40 years studying plants and their beneficial ingredients. Thanks to her extensive experience in formulation, she has created unique formulas that support the skin’s natural functions and do not include any unnecessary additives.

During our event in collaboration with Cortana, Marie gave a speech on the origin of our brand, its values and its mission. She explained about how LE PURE improves the well being of the individual, but also of the community at large: “We care about skincare, but also about the protection of the environment. Our holistic approach implies that people’s health cannot be in contrast with nature. Our products are designed to avoid any negative impact on the environment.”

Marie’s words highlighted that “every day our skin suffers from external factors, such as air, water and food pollution. However, we cannot blame only the environment, we are responsible too.

The concept behind LE PURE is based on three main pillars: purifying, nourishing and repairing only with 100% of natural and active ingredients.

How do we know, if the product and its ingredients are beneficial?

Marie explained how to find out: “There is a very easy way to know, if you are using the a natural product: read the ingredients! If you want to know, if a product uses natural and plant ingredients, check for ingredients in Latin on the label: in fact, while ingredients made or manipulated in the laboratory use English names, plants are designated by their scientific Latin name. Therefore, the more Latin, the more natural ingredients are in the product.”

A last consideration: nature is our master. We have to learn from nature and live in harmony with it.

The speech is in Spanish language only.
